Who is eligible to apply?

Only applicants who meet the eligibility criteria described below will be considered for the award

• Are Vietnamese citizens
• Are first-year full-time students at a participating Vietnamese university (please see the list below)
• Are studying business/management, engineering or the natural sciences.
• Exhibit excellent performance, as demonstrated by first semester university results and high school transcripts
• Demonstrate finance need, as evidenced by proper documents/certifications

What is the deadline for the Vietnam Program Application?

April 30, 2012.

The online application system will close at 11:59pm Hanoi time on April 30, 2012. No applications may be initiated or edited after that time.

All Supporting Documents must be received via postal mail at this time. If you have completed the Online Application but for any reasons cannot send all the supporting documents in time, please notify IIE immediately by calling 04.37262524.

If I start an online application, can I save it and finish it later?

Yes. In order to submit your application, you must complete all required fields. When there is a check mark next to each of the online sections, you may submit your application. Until you click on the submit button, your application will remain available for editing. Once you have clicked the submit button, your application will be transmitted and you will not be able to return to it for editing. You may be able to return to your application to review each section and print the Certification Page.

Once I complete the online application, is there anything else?

Yes, if you submit an online application, you should receive a confirmation by e-mail that your application was transmitted. Then you must mail to IIE a package including all of the following:
# Certification Page (signed and dated)
# Finance Page
# High school transcripts – certified copy
# First semester university results – issued by our university
# Proof of difficult financial situation – must be certified by local authorities (if applicable)
# Certified copies of awards, honors, prizes or extracurricular activities (if applicable)

Where can I find the required Certification Page?

The Certification Page is available online and may be downloaded in PDF form directly from the website. It can be found by logging in to your application profile and using the link on the left side of the “Review and Submit” page. The documents can be accessed even after the online application form has been submitted.

How do I send in my signature?

Download the Certification form, sign it, and mail it (along with supporting documentation) to:

How will I know if my application and supporting documents were received?

IIE will send a confirmation via e-mail if you have provided a valid e-mail address.

Please be advised that due to the volume of application submission activity, IIE staff cannot verify receipt of applications and supporting documentation via telephone inquiry.

Note: If you submit an online application, you will receive a confirmation by e-mail that your application was transmitted, but this does not constitute a complete application package. You must send in your supporting documents by April 30, 2012; you will then receive confirmation of a complete package as stated above.

PLEASE NOTE: IF CONFIRMATION THAT YOUR APPLICATION PACKAGE IS COMPLETE DOES NOT ARRIVE FROM IIE WITHIN THREE WEEKS OF SUBMISSION, IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO FOLLOW UP WITH IIE.

Can I scan the supporting documents and send them via email?

No. All the supporting documents MUST be sent via postal mail.

When will I be notified of the results?

IIE will notify only the SELECTED students in May 2012. The official selection results will also be announced at www.iie.org/hanoi.
ALL DECISIONS ARE FINAL; APPEALS WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED

Do I need to translate all the required documentation into English?

No. Although you are required to fill out the Online Application form in English, the supporting documentation that you will send via post mail does not have to be translated into English.
