Who Can Apply?

Only applicants who meet the eligibility criteria below will be considered for the award.

Students must be attending the following institutions to be eligible to apply:

1. CHIANG MAI UNIVERSITY (CMU)
2. CHULALONGKORN UNIVERSITY (CU)
3. KASETSART UNIVERSITY (KU)
4. KHON KAEN UNIVERSITY (KKU)
5. KING MONGKUT’S INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY LADKRABANG (KMITL)
6. KING MONGKUT’S INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY NORTH BANGKOK (KMITNB)
7. KING MONGKUT’S UNIVERSITY OF TECHNOLOGY (KMUTT)
8. MAHIDOL UNIVERSITY (MU)
9. PRINCE OF SONGKLA UNIVERSITY – HATYAI CAMPUS (PSU)
10. THAMMASAT UNIVERSITY (TU)

Only students in their first year of undergraduate studies in the following fields may apply:

1. Accounting
2. Environmental science
3. Chemistry
4. Economics
5. Computer science
6. Physics/Mathematics
7. Engineering (computer, mechanical, chemical, electrical, environmental, telecommunications)

Further Requirements Include:

• Thai citizenship
• Students in their first year of undergraduate study
• Minimum GPA of 3.0 (2.75 for students in Engineering)
• Demonstrate financial need
• Involvement in leadership and community development

How to Apply?

If you satisfy all eligibility criteria outlined above, click on the link at the bottom of the page and complete the online application. The application form including essay must be submitted online by 11:59pm EST on April 15, 2012. All Supporting Documentation must arrive via post by April 15, 2012 to:

Supporting Documentation – In addition to your application form, the following documentation is required:

1. Certification Page (signed & dated)
2. High school transcripts – official copy, may be sent directly by high school
3. First semester university results – official copy, may be sent directly by university
4. Two (2) letters of recommendation with accompanying Form (see instructions on Form which can be downloaded from the online application)
5. Picture of your house
6. Certification of family income by government official
7. Certified True copy of ID card of Parents
8. Certified True copy of ID card of guarantor (government official who guarantees family income)

English translations must accompany any documents not in English.

Incomplete application materials or application materials received after April 15, 2012 will not be considered. Application materials will not be returned to applicants.

What is the Selection Procedure?

A selection committee will evaluate all applications. Each applicant’s motivation and academic potential will be assessed. You will be informed in June 2012 about the success of your application. Selection decisions are final. There is no appeal process.
