The Scholar-Leaders Program gives me opportunity to build my leadership character, meet a lot of great people, make nice friendships, help me in pursuing my bachelor degree and always motivates me to improve my academic performance.

I am currently enrolled in a bachelor degree program at The Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB), Indonesia. Bandung Institute of Technology is prestigious institute in Indonesia. It is a pioneer in technology and science development. Since my interest is in chemistry, I choose to study in the Chemical Engineering Department. The Chemical Engineering Department of ITB has three majors, these are Chemical Technology, Bio Process, and Food Technology.

I applied for the GE Foundation Scholar-Leaders Program since it was a unique scholarship program. This scholarship program is not only giving me scholarship funding but also leadership training. With this combination, I believe that I could improve my performance during my study in the college, both my performance in academic and organization or other social activities. Certainly, what I have expected from this program has come to something real. The Scholar-Leaders Leadership Development Seminar has given me the opportunity to build my leadership character, meet a lot of great people, make nice friendships, and give me real experience in doing volunteer activities. Through this program, I received great inspiration from many great people. They have inspired me to do something to my country and even to the world.

In the future, I wish to continue my studies in master and doctoral degrees to finally achieve my dream to become an inspiring lecturer. I choose to be a lecturer since by becoming a lecturer, I can transfer knowledge. I believe that by keeping the transfer of knowledge and experience by generation to generation, I can help society move forwards.
